In celebration of it’s 10th anniversary, fans can relive Alejandro G. Iñárritu’s brutal masterpiece The Revenant in theaters for a limited time. “The Revenant,” which stars Leonardo DiCaprio and Tom Hardy, was released in 2015 and grossed over $532 million at the global box office. The film won three Academy Awards® for acting (Leonardo DiCaprio), directing (Alejandro G. Iñárritu), and cinematography (Emmanuel Lubezki). “The Revenant” features a screenplay by Mark L. Smith and Alejandro G. Iñárritu based in part on the novel by Michael Punke, and is produced by Steve Golin, Alejandro G. Iñárritu, Arnon Milchan, and Mary Parent. The film, which is inspired by real events, tells the story of a frontiersman in the 1800s who is left for dead and must survive a brutal winter in the wilderness before returning to avenge his son’s death.
