Papa Johns Pizza Planet pop-ups launching around the world for Toy Story 5
Papa Johns is launching four Pizza Planet pop-ups to celebrate Toy Story 5.
The pizzeria is paying tribute to one of movie's most beloved fictional brands by hosting a series of retro-style pizza arcades around the world featuring games, surprises and special easter eggs the mark the fifth instalment in the beloved Disney Pixar franchise.
The four Papa Johns Pizza Planet pop-ups will be open on select dates next month with sites in London, Seoul, Madrid and Los Angeles.
In a press release, the company said: "Designed as retro‑inspired pizza arcades, the spaces invite fans to step into an immersive world shaped by playtime and imagination as they reconnect over pizza.
"The experiences will feature limited‑time‑only Toy Story 5 pizzas - Space Ranger Roni, Sheriff’s Roundup and Reach for the Pie - alongside exclusive packaging, collectibles, and merch created for pizza lovers and Toy Story fans alike.
"Guests can expect surprises around every corner, with gifting from adidas, Belkin and more up for grabs through giveaways."
Meanwhile, the special limited edition Toy Story 5 menu will be launching everywhere from May 26 to July 19.
Jenna Bromberg, Chief Marketing Officer at Papa Johns, said: “For so many, movie nights and pizza nights are one and the same and Toy Story has been a part of that experience for three decades — at the movie theatre or around the table, sharing stories and slices.
"Bringing Papa Johns Pizza Planet to life lets us celebrate those moments, past and present, and recreate the feeling of coming together as a family over something familiar, comforting and fun.”
Lylle Breier, EVP, Partnerships and Events at The Walt Disney Studios, noted that the company is "thrilled" by the collaboration.
Breier added: “Toy Story has always been about friendship, imagination, and the moments we share together, and Papa Johns Pizza Planet pop-ups give fans a chance to step inside that world and create new memories together.”
The Los Angeles pop-up will be situated on Melrose Ave on June 12 from midday to 7pm local time, with the London site at The Arches on Dereham Place open midday till 8pm on June 13 and 14.

Jessie (Joan Cusack) has become the leader of Bonnie's room with Buzz Lightyear (Tim Allen) second in command.
Things take a turn as Bonnie, now eight, gets enamoured with her new frog-like tablet Lilypad (Greta Lee).
Toy Story 5 is coming to cinemas on June 19.
